Hi, I'm Franz, I'm 38 years old, I've mostly been and still am kind of between pronouns but leaning more consistently towards he/him these days.

I work in theatre. I studied puppetry, but am working mostly as outside-eye/director and musician. I occasionally dabble in programming and automating stuff, but honestly feel that my skills and knowledge are stuck somewhere in the maker-enthusiasm of the early 10er years, with little enthusiasm to get with the times.

I'm slowly getting back into songwriting, and picked up drawing again as a hobby.

Other than that I am currently trying to finish the science-fantasy novel project I started (initially as a joke) about 15 years ago.

I don't read as much as I would like to, mostly due to the fact that over the past year I have amassed quite the collection of half-read books, and now just freeze in indecisive panic, whenever I look at it.

My love for tv-shows died with the disappearance of filler-episodes.

I like to cook, but don't talk about it a lot, and bouldering, which - I recently found out - seems to be a well hated hobby on bluesky?

Lastly, I'm very much into ttrpgs, the playing part as well as a general fascination for rules and systems to structure, inspire and manipulate story-telling.

As for this blog, I might write about any of these things, I might also include pictures, but I will keep it wildly unprofessional. That is not to say that I will not blog about my work at all. But I wont do so in any professional, carefully curated, self-promoting way.

Instead there will be messy thoughts in progress, sketches and scribbles, random observations and such.

Also, I probably will experiment with all the things this thing here can do. Like, what is a canvas? What would I need it for? When and why would I want to divide a post into sub-pages? I'm also very curious about the collaborative editing/writing aspect of this thing, but tbh I'm kind of expecting to just join the army sad millennials rambling more or less unheard into the void of web.

Anyway. To close this, here's a gallery of carefully drawn, cropped or edited userpics from my livejournal era (2004-2018), to substitute a picture of my real face.
